Parasol Lampshade

After months of staring up at the blinding ceiling lights in the nursery, I finally got around to making parasol lampshades for them. These large white paper parasols go along with the Marco Polo theme of the nursery and are only $4.50 each at Pearl River. I just cut off the bamboo handle and hung the open umbrella under the glass light fixture from a hook in the ceiling. The shades have enough space not to burn, and Baby Chinoise gets a diffused glow to play in.
