Oneonta Gorge

Doesn't this hike through Oneonta Gorge near Portland look like the perfect place to be? This cool photo is from Little Birds on Flickr (via A Cup of Jo)

Berry Platter

This platter of berries from Martha Stewart's table is the perfect, simple summer food and so pretty for a party. I can see baby fingers all decorated with berries. Just pour boiling water on all the stained clothes.

Pink Roses Sheets

I'm not that into pink, but the Amy Romantic Floral Sheeting from Pottery Barn Kids sent my mind back to my girlhood sheets. The pattern is very subtle pink on organic cotton, so I picked up a pair of pillowcases as a gift for Fruity's upcoming birthday. They're really lovely and selling out fast.

Chopped Bedposts

This twin room from the June 2009 issue of Canadian House & Home with the bedposts cut to fit the sloping ceiling is just so clever!

Giant Lace Canvas

Here is another gorgeous work of art from the same May 2009 issue of LivingEtc as the yellow flower in the post below. And yesterday, I stumbled onto the source for both! Surface View in the UK prints images from museum collections onto canvas, wall murals, window blinds, and even ceramic tiles. I love the giant lace!

Giant Wall Flower

This giant flower on the wall is just too fantastic and perfect for a nursery. I think it must just be a reprint of some antique botanical print. I don't know how they did it, but the image is from the May 2009 issue of LivingEtc.

City Walks

City Walks: Seattle looks like a great tool for exploring my city with the Little One. The series covers places all over the world, and each box has 50 cards with maps and tips for visiting. What a super deal (and tour guide) for around ten bucks!

Zucchini Trifolati

Fruity Boot has been driving me crazy with a weird eating phase for weeks. She won't eat much real food, just bottle after bottle of hot milk. She used to eat everything and every kind of vegetable. We got rid of the bottle (she was nursed for 15 months and we just use the glass bottle instead of a plastic sippy cup), and she got sick and dehydrated. So we caved. Anyway, the curse has been lifted. This recipe for zucchini trifolati is so amazingly delicious. The basil makes a sweet sauce (I omitted the garlic), and a two-year-old and I just ate mountains of it. It is better than pie.

Mickey Mouse Harness

I know harnesses are controversial, but Sugar Boot's new fun game is to run like crazy in parking lots. This Mickey Mouse harness buddy from Disney looks like our NEW new fun game. I want my kid to live.
